Bandera Riverfest Come join the fun as Bandera Business Association holds its 14th annual RIVERFEST on the banks of the beautiful Medina River on June 30, 2012. Wear your swim suit and bring your tube, you won’t want to miss the opportunity of floating in one of the cleanest, clearest rivers in Texas. RiverFest is Bandera’s way of CELEBRATING SUMMER!!
With activities all along the river, including the river rodeo, tube volleyball, water fetching contest for canines, events for the whole family, children’s activities, fishing, paddle boats, watermelon eating contests, sack races, wheel barrel races, Frisbee throwing, a Lunch Box Social Auction, the Bandera Idol competition, arts and craft booths, a car show and swap meet, the third annual Riverfest Cook-off, and the marquee event of the weekend, the Great Hill Country Anything That Floats Regatta!

Market Days
The Bandera Market Days, sponsored by the Bandera Business Association, are held on Main Street in downtown Bandera on the Courthouse lawn on the first Saturday of each month beginning in April and ending in November.
Market Days features individual artists and craftsmen presenting original works and farmers selling produce, canned goods and baked goods. Non-profit organizations also sell baked goods or items to raise money for their organization. Only a limited number of resale items of the highest quality are accepted. The show is juried to maintain both quality and variety.

Cowboy Christmas
Bandera Cowboy Christmas Come out and play at Bandera Cowboy Christmas, presented by the Bandera Business Association, held the first weekend in December each year, falling on Dec. 7-9 in 2012! The event begins at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, and includes a town-wide open house in stores from 6-9 p.m.
Festivities include the Cowboys and Cowgirls on Main, entertaining music galore, Christmas lights across town, a live nativity, and Santa handing out candy.
A Cowboy Christmas parade is held Saturday at 11 a.m., with an open house all day long. Later, an old-fashioned Cowboy Camp is held on the river with story-tellers, choral selections, and more.
Visit Bandera for Cowboy Christmas and enjoy great shops, great food, great dancing, great antiques, and a great state of mind.
